Meet at 10:15 for departure at 10:30. Standard 5 mile Chilterns walk with slightly more of an undulation than usual, but nothing to frighten the horses. As usual you walk at your own risk.

We will go from Cookham Dean to the top of Winter Hill, then drop down to the Thames at Longridge, along and up through Quarry/Fultness Wood to Cookham Dean Common and back to the pub.  I have been choosing paths that are not too steep, and we will have appropriate rest stops and plenty of flat bits to balance the down and back up! A good mix of views and shade. It’s an area that I have long wanted to explore. Poles recommended to assist with the ups and downs if you use them. I haven’t found any stiles, and its bone dry. Bring water and suntan lotion!

We can make our selection for lunch before we set out. The pub is excellent. Park around or possibly in the pub car park if you are lunching.
