For those who prefer short, leisurely walks in the Thames Valley, Chilterns, Windsor Great Park, and Chess & Misbourne Valleys. Shorter walks meet at 11am on the 2nd Thursday of the month.... we walk for 1 to 1 and a half hours trying to avoid steep hills [and mud where possible].
Please note that members join the walks at their own risk and are advised to carry their own first aid kits. Please advise the leader or another walk member of any health issues that might affect your walking.
Details of future walks will be sent out a few days before. Please contact me for further information.
Keith is the convenor of all walking groups as well as proposing and leading walks. PLEASE lighten my u3a load and volunteer to assist! Organising/leading a shorter walk entails picking a 1.5 hour 3 mile gentle route, reconnoitring it for stiles, mud and other hazards (preferrably none), and warning the pub of impending lunch custom.

In May 8 of us walked around Odney gardens at Cookham [John Lewis estate] to follow a sculpture trail finishing with refreshments in the sunshine on the terrace.
Our June, July and August walks were by the river at Bourne End and Marlow kindly led by 2 of our members.
