Singing for Fun

This group gives SBu3a members the opportunity to enjoy singing together. If you would like to sing with us, we welcome you. Singing together is proven to be good for you in so many ways - it improves concentration, provides mental stimulation, encourages good posture and controlled breathing, aids physical and emotional well-being, creates camaraderie, and gives a sense of accomplishment as well as "the feel-good factor".

There are no auditions, and the ability to read music is useful but not a necessity. You will be given occasional tips on breath control, musical notation and enunciation, but our focus is on the pleasure of singing together. The songs we sing have melodies which are familiar to all, and our repertoire continues to grow.

Our group continues to enjoy spending happy times together singing a variety of modern and traditional music. We are a very friendly group and we welcome anyone who wants to sing. We round off the sessions with a sociable tea or coffee.

We meet in the Curzon Centre in Beaconsfield at 10.45 on the second Tuesday of the month.

Please contact Sue Bailey - 01753 643361 - or Jenny Gibbons - 01753 643681 agsinging@sbu3a.org.uk for more details.
